Is there a difference between being healthy and being fit?

Healthy people can have flabby, undeveloped muscle spots all over their bodies, and be referred to as 'thick', or some other term, but then there are fit people who are toned and healthy at the same time. Is it bad to strive hard to be the fit type, versus just the healthy type?

And, why do we want to be fit?
Do we want to be fit because we see models and actors and role models who are fit and desire to be like them, or do we actually just want to be fit?
I often wonder if I want to be fit for the wrong reasons. I don't see beauty in any other places but the way a person is on the inside and fitness, at least, when it comes to women.
I still can't tell if that's completely negative.
